NEW IOW CYCLE ROUTE BOOK

Author: Isle of Wight Cycling Festival, Dated: 10/12/2009

This new cycling book is designed to show off some of the best areas of the Island using a mixture of quiet country lanes and bridleways. There are also routes that make use of existing cycle tracks, for example the cover image shows a scene at Ryde taken on the cycle route to Seaview. The routes are graded in degree of difficulty numerically throughout the book. For example numbers 1-3 are essentially family orientated rides with lots of flat off-road options, by contrast 7-10 are more challenging with hills, bumpy bridleways and roads. However, there are many attractions on or near the routes so why not make a day of it and ride slowly, after all, if you race along you may miss seeing a Red squirrel or one of the many stunning vistas!
