Sink or Swim
Cycle the Medina Fun Race, Seaclose Park, Newport Saturday 13th September at 11am

Back again to cause mayhem on the river medina is the infamous Sink or Swim event. Riders navigate a pedal-powered vessel across the river avoiding the water below! Entrants are encouraged to build their own pedal-powered bike/boat, take to the river and race against each other. This event is fun for all the family and spectators will have the opportunity to ride one of our cycling festival swans after the riders have finished. Cowes Inshore Lifeboat will be on hand to make sure everyone is safe on the water.

Well done to all who took part in the 2007 Sink or Swim Fun Race and congratulations to Raymond Belson (pictured above) on his Rift Raft who won the Wightlink vouchers. Our Sink or Swim event was started by tv personality Charlie Dimmock as part of her River Walks series.
